Laurelhills is a small hobby farmette located in Carnation, WA on 12 beautiful, wooded acres, specializing in Australian Shepherds. We
have a pure hearted devotion to this wonderful breed with which we share our lives.
I, Lisa work for Intel Corporation and hold a BA from University of Washington and a MBA, as well as several professional
certifications. I have the unique privilege of working from home the majority of the time, allowing me to stay close to the things I love. I
bought my first Australian Shepherd in 1997 as a pet, but that was all it took. Ever since then, I have loved and been deeply devoted
to the breed. During the late 1990's I worked with a local breeder helping with their breeding program, training, showing and
placement of their puppies and adults, they have since passed away, So, in 2006, I started my own kennel and applied for the name
Laurelhills, which was granted by ASCA in January 2006. I am actively involved in training and showing dogs. I also do selective
grooming on the side for a few regular clients as well as boarding and day care as time permits.
Jaclyn holds a BS in Animal Science from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. While in Baton Rouge she worked for a large
multi-doctor Veterinary practice. In 2006, Jaclyn relocated to Texas and now works as a veterinary technician in Carthage. She has
been showing dogs since 2004 and has been blessed to work with Yvette LeBlanc of Bayouland assisting with showing and training of
their exceptional dogs. She has worked with several of the top handlers and has enjoyed much success in professional dog handling;
showing dogs of all breeds to their Championships and group placements. Jaclyn bough her first Aussie in 2000 and has been
devoted to the breed ever since.
Lisa and Jaclyn became friends in 2008, sharing a love and commitment for the Australian Shepherd. Together, we share the same
high standards and moral integrity that this exceptional breed deserves. We are committed to raising and training exceptional dogs
with sound body and mind using a holistic approach.
Our objective is to get each puppy a loving, forever home. We will always be available to help with questions, training, showing,
boarding or referrals for the life of the dog or puppy. We are proud of our dogs and encourage prospective families to come out and
meet our dogs. All of our puppies are sold with a contract, come with full health guarantees and placed in pre-approved, forever
homes.
